Ten Months!

Whew! We're only two short months away from our first birthday!

I measured Madilyn today and she's 29inches and weighs between 19.5 and 20lbs! In the last month she has learned so much. Here is what she is up to these days:

- She's learned how to pull herself to standing
- She's learned how to crawl.... she is super fast now!
- She's learned how to consistently sleep through the night (finally!)
- Discovered Duke is afraid of her and she thinks it is really funny!
- Eats 3-4 meals a day plus snacks. good job Madilyn!
- LOVES Mickey Mouse. Really, ask her... life doesn't get any better

An Afternoon in the Park

Today was so nice outside, Matt and I took Madilyn and Duke over to the neighborhood playground after he got home from work. Today is the first time we've put Madilyn in the swings at the park and she loves them! It was a nice little family outing and we all had fun. I think Duke was glad to have some space to run and play as well :)

I'm sure you won't mind, but I'll warn you anyway... This post is picture overload!

Kindermusik Then and Now

Most of you know we go to a Kindermusik class every Monday morning. We have tons of fun singing and dancing with all the other babies and their mommies. The class started last fall and we thought it would be fun to take a picture of all the babies on the first day of the session, then then again on the last day of the session (roughly 16 weeks). For fun, I thought I would show how all the babies have changes since that first class!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Madilyn is has a respiratory infection but is feeling better each day now that we've got her on some antibiotics :)

I know you are probably checking in here for pictures of the little lady, so I'm making sure to get them up nice and early this morning! Her outfit is all hand crafted. The shirt came from our friend Julie who made it for her Maddie, only to find out it was too small. So, she passed it along to us (Thanks again Julie!). Then I sewed some patching pants to complete the V-day look. I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

It was a great warm weather day here in Altus today so I took Madi outside for some fresh air. She's been struggling with a very snotty nose and today she found a "barking" cough as well. Despite this, she LOVED being outside for a bit! Here are some fun pictures of her racing down the driveway in her walker :)

Getting Crafty

Living in Altus, I've certainly become more crafty than I ever would have imagined. I've really taken to lots of cooking, baking, scrapbooking and now sewing. While I'm certainly no pro, I'm really enjoying this new hobby!

Our friend Julie sent us some instructions on making babylegs. This was my first attempt at them and I'm pretty pleased with the results! Here is my little model showing off the latest in baby fashion.

SNOW in Altus!?!?!

That's right, this morning we woke up to snow! I guess something good finally came out of that terrible ice yesterday. I have been missing the snow since the day we left Colorado.

When we came here to visit, people kept telling us "of course it snows in Altus!". Well, we've been here since Auguat of 2007 and this is the fist snow I've seen! Keep in mind for most of you, this is a very pathetic snow. But hey, after waiting so long for it, I love it all the same!
