Crawling Update #2

SNOW in Altus!?!?!

That's right, this morning we woke up to snow! I guess something good finally came out of that terrible ice yesterday. I have been missing the snow since the day we left Colorado.

When we came here to visit, people kept telling us "of course it snows in Altus!". Well, we've been here since Auguat of 2007 and this is the fist snow I've seen! Keep in mind for most of you, this is a very pathetic snow. But hey, after waiting so long for it, I love it all the same!

Crawling Update #1

Well, the little lady is still at it. She's getting better everyday though! Here in this video she moves forward just a bit (she's after the dog...) before she sits back down again :)




And because so many people have said how much they love our little dancer....

Here she is dancing to her favorite songs ever, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song and the Hot Dog Song! (If we even start singing these songs anywhere, she'll drop whatever she's doing and dance)



Ah, I love this kid....

Nine Months!

Madilyn is nine months old already! Pretty soon we'll be planning a birthday party!!!

This week we had out 9 month well baby check up and everything looked great. She is 26.5 inches tall (75%) and 17lbs 14oz (25%). Developmentally she is right on target and the doctor was very happy :)

We also met with the GI specialist at the Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City to discuss previous problems eating. The doctor thinks Madilyn does indeed have a reaction to bananas. She may grow out of it as she gets older, but she may not. They took her blood to test her sensitivity to bananas, wheat, milk, nuts, and eggs. She was such a trooper and didn't even cry! What a brave little girl! It will be a few weeks before we hear anything, so I'll update later when I know more.

Madilyn and Madeline

Today we had our friends Julie and Madeline over for a play date! The girls are only a few weeks apart and are reaching many developmental milestones at the same time. It was great fun watching them interact with each other. Neither one was quite sure what to think of the other!



Madilyn was absolutely fascinated by Maddie's stylin shoes. She realllllly wanted to taste them too! But, when Madeline wouldn't give up the one in her hand, Madi went right for her other foot.... silly girls!

We're making the switch!

Look what came in the mail today!!!!

We're finally making the move to cloth diapers. The poor mail woman could barely carry all the boxes to the door this afternoon. Everything is in the wash and I can't wait to put them on our little princess :)

And just for a bit of random fun, this is where Madilyn seems to back herself into these days. Too cute...

We'll be crawling soon....

Lately Madi has been trying harder and harder to get places! The only problem is, she can't figure out how to go forwards. So, she gets on all fours and wiggles away, backwards. This is very frustrating for her as you can see. Hopefully the little princess will get this figured out soon and we'll be much happier!

Yes, Madilyn just cut her 7th tooth last night. Everyday my baby is looking more and more like a big girl and less like my little baby!

New Playroom!

Okay, so we've recently been moving things around in the house to make it feel a bit more cozy and baby friendly (I'm sure she'll be on the move one of these days...). I'm pretty happy with the way our new "playroom" turned out and just wanted to share :)
